Partnering with The Children’s Trust To Assist Parents In Need
In 2004, we implemented the Parent Support Program to provide parenting skills training to families with children ages 0 to 5. We reach out to parents who reside in high-risk communities and public housing developments within the areas of South Miami Dade County. Statistics reveal that parents located in high-risk communities need assistance in overcoming the obstacles that conflict with good family growth. This program provides Link Persons and Parenting Specialists, who provide parenting skills training, assessments, and support services. The target areas are Perrine Gardens, Southridge I and II, Arthur Mays Villas, Naranja H.U.D., Modella H.U.D., and Homestead Gardens. The Children’s Trust provides funding for this program.
The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life.
